On behalf of Social Welfare Council of Sarawak, I would like to welcome you to our official website. We thank you for your interest in our noble course to safeguard the rights and privileges of the less fortunate community in the society.

As a Non-Government Organization (NGO) with 45 voluntary welfare member organisations as its members in Sarawak. Established on 14th September 1949, the Council serves as centralized welfare body to coordinate all voluntary social welfare activities in Sarawak.

The council's role is of a consultative, advisory and co-ordination body. We assist and support our affiliate members, resolve problems of concern, provide training courses, disseminate information of importance, benefit and interest and to hold meetings for discussion on any matter pertaining to welfare.

We are going to celebrate 75th anniversary this year. As an NGO with 75 years of experience in championing the social needs of various communities in Sarawak, we welcome you to come forward and talk to us on how we can do better to serve our community.

A billion thanks to Sarawak government, local and international corporations, members organization, volunteers and individuals for your strong support, either financially, networking, advice, resources or morally. With your undivided love and cares towards our social works, we can remain strong until today.

We also wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the founding committee and the past exco members for their dedication, commitment and scarification in building the council into what it is today. They have contributed their times, money and efforts in ensuring the interest of the needy in the society is well taken care of.

We will continue to promote the social inclusiveness in our society, so that no one is left behind. We will continue to work closely with government, various government agencies, corporate entities, universities and colleges, NGOs to ensure we are continuing to be relevant to our members organization and society.
